United Way of the Mid-South’s Free Tax Prep is happy to celebrate Financial Literacy Month in April. This national initiative promotes financial well-being for people at every stage of life. The Free Tax Prep program offers their services free to those who qualify in order to help their customers make the most of their tax credits and receive the largest return for which they are eligible. This free service allows Mid-Southerners to keep all of their return money to invest it back into their dreams of financial freedom.
Free Tax Prep could not succeed without the wonderful volunteers that join us year after year. Although the program had to be modified due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are still operating with several community partners to file as many returns as possible. Free Tax Prep is still in need of volunteers at our Super Sites. We have created a minimal-contact process to be mindful of COVID-19 precautions.
