Our Community Impact team partnered once again with the Afterschool Alliance for their annual Lights on Afterschool. For the past 20 years, Lights on Afterschool has brought attention to the importance of afterschool programs which benefit communities holistically by keeping kids safe, helping working families and inspiring learning.

With the focus of creating opportunity for all, United Way supports several organizations that have afterschool programs. We know that lack of childcare outside of normal school hours can often lead to interruptions in the jobs of working parents. We are committed to organizations that provide families with the tools they need for success in order to help people move from poverty to prosperity.

In support of Lights on Afterschool, United Way had Mighty Lights turn blue and yellow on Thursday, Oct. 22nd.
