United Way of the Mid-South’s Resource Development team is happy to share a few success stories from their workplace campaigns taking place during the pandemic. The team has worked tirelessly to ensure corporate partners have what they need to continue their support of our mission. While we always appreciate the support of our partners, this “new normal” has made us even more grateful. Even in the midst of a pandemic, Memphis has shown itself to be one of the most charitable cities in the US.

Reynolds, Bone & Griesbeck saw a  244% increase in employee giving over last year. Despite the pandemic, many at RBG went above and beyond their usual contributions- with several first time donors! We thank Reynolds, Bone & Griesbeck for operating by their motto: “We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give.” Your support helps us make the greatest impact for our most vulnerable neighbors.

First Horizon hit their stretch goal for their workplace campaign. Kevin Beeson was an outstanding chair this year for their “Now More Than Ever” campaign which did not stop until First Horizon reached $1 million in employee giving. Their support of United Way will truly help us move people from where they are to where they dream to be!

Evolve Bank saw a 214% increase in employee giving over last year. Noticing that many Mid-Southerners were now facing poverty for the very first time in their lives due to the pandemic, Kristen Crowson, Payroll and Benefits Manager for Evolve Bank, said “Our employees really felt blessed this year and truly wanted to bless others who had been affected by COVID-19.” The Mid-South is on it’s way to thriving post-pandemic due to corporate partners like Evolve Bank!
