United Way’s Free Tax Prep program is still helping people in Tipton County on Saturday, June 20 and Saturday, June 27, by appointment only. Volunteers will be on hand to help with late returns and amended returns at Tipton County Public Library, 3149 Hwy. 51 S., Covington, TN 38019.
IRS Certified preparers will be at the library from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. on both Saturdays.
Citizens who have amended returns, for both current and/or prior years are welcome. Preparers ask that citizens bring photo identification, W-2 and 1099 forms, Social Security cards for everyone claimed on the tax return, and any correspondence/transcripts they have received from the IRS.
