Youth United Way involved with “Youth Forum on Educational Justice” at BRIDGES

Youth United WayYouth from across the Memphis area are invited to the BRIDGES Center on Saturday, Feb. 5 from 1-5 pm for an opportunity to make their voices heard on one of the most crucial educational justice issues of our time.

The Youth Forum on Educational Justice – presented at BRIDGES in partnership with our Youth United Way Leadership Program and WREG News Channel 3 – will give youth grades 6 – 12 a chance to explore the issues surrounding the current debate over our community’s public school systems.WREG News Channel 3 BRIDGES is a long-time member of our United Way network of nonprofit agencies.

Being informed is just the first step for our youth as they become leaders for educational justice. Since public education affects EVERYONE, it is important for youth from ALL BACKGROUNDS and from ALL SCHOOLS to have a voice in the conversation.
