Youth United Way accepting membership applications through Sept. 19

05coloryouthlogoweb2Youth United Way’s leadership program regularly sees more members going on to college with scholarships than many other teen programs, and it’s about to begin a new year of helping teens prepare for a brighter future.

Local student who wish to be a part of Youth United Way must complete an application by September 19. Please visit the 2014 FALL NEW MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION  and complete the online form (it only takes a few minutes).

Youth United Way’s leadership program helps young people in our area serve our community through engaging activities such as the Memphis Grizzlies Dribble Parade in downtown Memphis, the Shoebox Christmas project to provide gifts to young children during the holidays and collecting food and assembling Thanksgiving baskets for people struggling with resources and food scarcity.

Youth United Way members also benefit from hands-on seminars about financial literacy given by some of the brightest financial minds in our region, and the program also produces and hosts a celebration banquet near the end of the school year.

For more information about the Youth United Way leadership program, please contact Clint Anderson, Director of Youth United Way at 901.433.4327 or by email at clint.anderson@uwmidsouth.org.
