Earned Income Tax Credit Awareness DayFriday, Jan. 25: Today is national Earned Income Tax Credit Awareness Day across the country. A special presentation will take place downtown at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis Memphis branch, focusing on how using the credit and other financial tools can increase financial stability for families and individuals. FREE tax preparation sites utilizing the Earned Income Tax Credit will open across the Mid-South on January 30.

Mississippi RiverkingsSaturday, Jan. 26: Our friends at Fred’s Super Discount are sponsoring a “Pack the House” night with the Mississippi Riverkings and Bellhaven College with proceeds benefiting United Way of the Mid-South. The game begins at 7:00 p.m. at the Landers Center. Follow the link above to get your tickets now.

Dribble Parade

Sunday, Jan. 27: Youth United Way and the Memphis Grizzlies will present the First Annual Dribble Parade through downtown Memphis in honor of “NBA Fitness Week” before the Grizzlies vs. New Orleans Hornets basketball game at FedExForum. Proceeds from the parade will benefit the Youth United Way Leadership Program.
