Volunteers: Joe Birch remembers John “Bad Dog” McCormack

Radio entertainer John “Bad Dog” McCormack was a friend to United Way of the Mid-South who hosted charity auctions & spoke at events for our organization, as well as many other Mid-South charities and nonprofits. He was friends with some of our United Way staff. His most well-known charity work was for the Ronald McDonald House.

Yesterday, after a valiant battle against leukemia, McCormack passed away. McCormack used his gift of spreading fun and laughter to lift spirits and help make our community a better place to live, and he will be missed.

Fellow media personality and fellow United Way volunteer Joe Birch from WMC TV5 provides a wonderful testimonial and memories of McCormack at http://snipurl.com/26zzru
