From the Archive: United Way Worldwide President salutes FedEx and Chairman/CEO Fred Smith at national conference

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has posted a video showing United Way Worldwide President and CEO Brian Gallagher saluting the work of FedEx and its founder, Frederick W. Smith who is Chairman, President and CEO of FedEx Corporation. Gallagher ‘s introduction occurs after a short film highlighting work from the United Way India organization.

FedEx is the single largest contributing organization to United Way of the Mid-South’s fundraising campaign each year. The global organization is a past recipient of United Way of America’s Spirit of America Award. Smith is one of the founding members of our local United Way Tocqueville Society, who contribute $10,000 or more a year to United Way. He is also a past recipient of our Tocqueville Award, the highest honor United Way of the Mid-South can bestow upon any local volunteer.
