United Way staff member speaks to Lauderdale County Exchange Club about the importance of supporting the nonprofit sector

Earlier this month Rosa Potts, Senior Associate in United Way’s fundraising department, visited the Lauderdale County Exchange Club at the Carl Perkins Center to discuss United Way’s work in that county.

Potts talked about the importance of supporting nonprofit organizations during the Exchange Club’s bi-monthly meeting, emphasizing how donations given to United Way from Lauderdale work to help people living in the county. Potts’ speech was recognized in The Lauderdale County Enterprise newspaper in Ripley, Tennessee on November 10.

United Way’s network of care has been at work in Lauderdale County for many years, with a network of partner agencies including:  Adult Education Council, American Red Cross Mid-South Chapter, Boy Scouts of America West TN Area Council, Children & Family Services, Inc., Girl Scouts Heart of the South, Helen Tucker Adult Developmental Center, Lauderdale County Family Resource Center, Meritan, Inc. and the Tennessee Poison Center.
