United Way seeking volunteers for funding decisions (allocations process)

United Way of the Mid-South is seeking volunteers to help our Community Impact work as for allocations program reviews and standards of agency accountability certification. Volunteers will assist staff’s work with local nonprofit agencies and programs across the Mid-South.

volunteeringEach year, donations to the United Way fundraising campaign are allocated to agencies and programs thanks to the dedicated efforts of volunteers from across the Mid-South.

Volunteers review programs and services which most effectively and efficiently address health and human service needs of their communities. They examine local needs, program evaluations, service effectiveness, involvement of agency Board of Directors, and overall agency management before making funding decisions.

Standards of Agency Accountability Certification volunteers are experts in the fields of business, accounting, and nonprofit management. Your experience and expertise will be very valuable to the Committee and our community at large.

Allocations Program Review volunteers review program applications, conduct agency site visits and make funding recommendations regarding the services which most effectively and efficiently address the health and human service needs of our Mid-South area.
