United Way staff distributed information about the Earned Income Tax Credit Alliance and Community Issues Management during the Volunteer Expo event at Oak Court Mall last week.
Youth United Way Director Clint Anderson and Community Impact Specialist Tehrian Martin met with local volunteers to share how working with United Way improves lives across our region.
“Several hundred people interested in volunteering and services stopped by our table to learn more about United Way and to pick up information,” Anderson noted.
Students participating in Youth United Way were also on hand to speak with teenagers who were interested in learning more about the leadership program.
The Volunteer Expo is a program facilitated by Volunteer Mid-South, one of United Way’s network partner agencies. You can visit the agency online at www.volunteermidsouth.org .
