United Way information messages in Sunday editions of The Commercial Appeal

Special quarter-page information messages in The Commercial Appeal will showcase how your support improves people’s lives and impacts our community.

Our friends at The Commercial Appeal are giving United Way space for quarter-page information messages in Sunday editions of the newspaper this year.

“United Way would not be able to afford publication space like this, and the fact that it coincides with our busy fundraising season makes for a very important and timely donation,” said Bryce Haugsdahl, President of United Way of the Mid-South.

The messages feature information and stories of local people who received help thanks to United Way’s programs and/or network partner nonprofit agencies.

We thank everyone at The Commercial Appeal, especially Marketing Director Paul Jewell and Publisher George Cogswell for helping make this donation possible.

The messages started to appear in the newspaper in late September and they will continue through the end of 2012. The newspaper has provided this generous donation for the past several years, and United Way is grateful The Commercial Appeal is continuing to support our work again this year.

The Commercial Appeal also conducts a fundraising campaign for United Way with its employees, and it is consistently among the top giving organizations in the Mid-South. We appreciate the generosity of our local newspaper and its employees!
