United Way hosts meeting for Memphis Child Advocacy Center initiative, “Stewards of Children”

Earlier this month, United Way of the Mid-South and Memphis Child Advocacy Center announced a special gathering for community leaders to learn how they can play an important role in preventing child sexual abuse. Details about Memphis Child Advocacy’s Stewards of Children initiative will be shared during a breakfast meeting on Thursday, November 1st at the United Way offices.

The Stewards of Children initiative includes an evidence-based sexual abuse prevention training for parents and adults who work with children.  The initiative includes policy consultations for organizations committed to protecting the children they serve.

To RSVP, please contact Megan at mbanet@MemphisCAC.org or call 901-888-4301. United Way of the Mid-South is located at 6775 Lenox Center Court, Suite 200, Memphis, TN.

The Memphis Child Advocacy Center is part of United Way of the Mid-South’s network of nonprofit partners, offering a child-friendly, welcoming place for children who are victims of sexual and severe physical abuse. A team of law enforcement officers, case workers, therapists, investigators, and prosecutors work together to ensure the best possible outcome for victimized children. The Center also provides evidence-based child sexual abuse training for parents and professionals who work with children.
