EARLIER TODAY: Employees at SRVS kicked off their United Way fundraising drive this morning with a salute to staff that have served in our nation’s military and remembering the events of September 11, 2001. Their “United We Stand” meeting featured special guest speaker April Thompson from WREG News Channel 3. Thompson shared her memories of what it was like to be on a plane during those fateful hours when the nation was under attack from terrorists ten years ago. Speaking to a crowded room, Thompson and United Way staff shared why they believe it is important to support United Way’s work of improving education, financial stability and health across our Mid-South area.
