Rise Foundation Common Cents Program

The Rise Foundation's "Common Cents" program helps people learn more about how managing personal finances effectively

The Rise Foundation’s “Common Cents” program will hold two free personal money management workshops for all employees and volunteers of United Way partner agencies. The workshops are designed to help people learn how to make the most of their money and credit.

Many members of our United Way of the Mid-South staff participated in the program earlier this summer.

The first workshop will be held Monday, August 22, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and will focus on:
– Financial goal setting and attitudes
– Income and choices
– Developing and maintaining a spending plan

The second workshop will be held Monday, August 29, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00p.m. and will study:
– Managing your bank account
– Understanding your credit report and score
– Reducing debt
– Retirement
