Regions raises $280,000 for our community in latest United Way campaign

Regions Bank employees have shown leadership in compassion and caring through their support of United Way by raising $280,000 for our community. This total represents an increase of over 24% from the organization’s workforce, an outstanding level of support!

Under the leadership of Joe DiNicolantonio, Executive Vice President and West Tennessee Area President for Regions Bank (and United Way’s General Campaign Chairman for our entire area in 2012), total Regions employee contributions, corporate giving, one-time gifts and money from other events increased over 2011.  56 Regions employees contributed at Leadership Giver levels of $500 or more.

Regions employees enjoyed different awareness-building and fun activities including:

  • Weekly “impact” emails highlighting facts about the United Way network and its programs improving our community
  • Two associate “jeans days” to help raise additional funds
  • iPads and Xboxes used to raise awareness of the campaign
  • A personal car wash from Joe DiNicolantonio and his leadership team for any associate doubling their pledge from 2011 (with a minimum increase of $100)

As General Campaign Chairman of this year’s area fundraising drive, DiNicolantonio is leading United Way staff and more than 40 Loaned Executives and Sponsored Representatives to raise charitable support for the network of care.

Regions Bank’s campaign committee team spread the word as the bank’s employees responded to the call to care, visiting  United Way’s network of nonprofit agencies working to improve education, financial stability, and health across the Mid-South.
