Photos: Youth United Way teens use a Saturday to prepare “Shoebox Christmas” packages for children

Teens in the Youth United Way Leadership Program prepared over 150 Christmas present boxes for children at St. Patrick’s Catholic School last Saturday.

The teens filled empty shoe boxes with Christmas presents suitable for children, then decorated them with wrapping paper. The program’s annual “Shoebox Christmas” project provides presents to children at a local elementary school each year.

The presents will be distributed next week, and we will have a follow-up story at the United Way News Center.
