People are still talking about last week’s United Way of the Mid-South Day of Caring campaign kickoff celebration. With mayors Wharton and Luttrell, our emcee Rick Trotter (voice of the FedEx Forum Memphis Grizzlies games), the fantastic Tennessee State University Band and the amazing Beale Street flippers, the stage was set for a great start to our campaign. United Way Chairman of the Board Shannon Brown (FedEx) and General Campaign Chairman Charlie Maxwell (Raymond James) led the start of our effort. It was truly a kickoff to remember – one that united volunteers with United Way partner agencies and local nonprofits for a day of good in our community. It shows just how much citizens care about our great area and improving lives by impacting local education, financial stability and health!

Special thanks to Dan Hope (MLGW) for these photos, and please don’t forget to use #DayOfCaringUWMS when sharing via social media.
