From the Archive: Organized Labor called to help with disaster and flood relief (2011 flooding)

As a member of organized labor, you can make a donation to help people who are impacted by the recent floods and disasters in our Mid-South area, in a way that allows us to recognize the support of our friends in Labor.

Giving by check: Simply note that the donation is to be used for “Organized Labor Disaster & Flood Relief 2011” in the memo section of your check. If you wish, you may also mention the specific labor union you are affiliated with, along with your city and state in an accompanying letter or document.

Your donation will be used to support local nonprofit programs that are working to provide immediate and long-term recovery in the Memphis and Mid-South area. We thank you for your generous donation to United Way of the Mid-South, and for Labor’s long-standing tradition of helping people who are struggling with damages and devastation.
