Operation Feed begins May 23, collects food across the region to meet seasonal needs

Operation Feed, the Mid-South Food Bank’s annual workplace food drive, begins May 23rd and ends July 1st.

United Way's marketing & communications department helps the Operation Feed by producing promotion and information materials (poster design: Veena Neelakantan)

The drive is the Food Bank’s largest annual collection effort for our region, and takes place at a time when children are out of school – increasing the need for food at homes and nonprofit organizations across the area. United Way of the Mid-South is a sponsor, and Veena Neelakantan from our marketing and communications department produces promotion/information materials for the effort.

Operation Feed is a friendly competition among participating companies.  At the end of the drive, all food and money collected is given point values and awards are presented to top organizations at a finale event on July 8th.

Operation Feed is also sponsored by our friends at FedEx, FOX13 and Clear Channel Radio.

Registration forms and campaign materials are available at www.midsouthfoodbank.org or by contacting David Stephens, 901.497.1153, or dstephens@midsouthfoodbank.org. United Way encourages all organizations across the Mid-South to participate in this worthy effort!
