From the Archive: News | United Way is recognized as America’s largest charity and Top 5 “All-Star” efficiency by Forbes

The United Way system has once again topped the Forbes list for largest charity in the United States and has been recognized for its efficiency in a new report.

Forbes has declared that United Way is the largest charity in the United States and gives the organization top marks for “all-star” efficiency according to a November 8 report.

Forbes recognized that United Way is receiving a larger total in donations to impact education, financial stability and health compared to previous years. “In a tough economic environment that (the United Way network’s fundraising results) represented a 1% increase – $44 million – over 2010” the article explained.
