A new poster from United Way of the Mid-South puts a spotlight on how donations to United Way and the organization’s network of nonprofit partners helps people recover from the horror of domestic violence in our region.
The poster also features a story of a young boy who witnessed repeated violence in his home, and was in danger of becoming a likely offender himself, before therapy gave him the skills to handle anger and conflict using peaceful, nonviolent means. His story of recovery is mirrored by other children working with United Way network programs across our area – programs that receive support from your gifts to United Way.
The poster is available as an Adobe Acrobat PDF document, and can be printed on 11″ x 17″ paper. To download a copy of the poster, simply click on the smaller image at the top of this story.
