A new poster from United Way of the Mid-South puts a spotlight on how donations to United Way and the organization’s network of nonprofit partners are working to help people who are homeless and hungry across the region.
The poster also features a story of an honorably-discharged U.S. Army vetean who, suffering from pains in his past, eventually became addicted to drugs and alcohol and ended up living on the streets of the Mid-South. His story of recovery from addiction and additional illnesses and his ultimate reintegration into society is mirrored by other citizens who are working with United Way network programs across our area – programs that receive support from your gifts to United Way.
The poster is available as an Adobe Acrobat PDF document, and can be printed on 11″ x 17″ paper. To download a copy of the poster, simply click on the smaller image at the top of this story.
