Friday, January 25th is National EITC Awareness Day, designed to spread knowledge of the Earned Income Tax Credit across the country.
The credit helps individuals and families at designated income thresholds keep more of their own money and potentially receive larger refunds when they file their income taxes. Larger tax refunds can result in decreased reliance on social services and benefits our local economy.
United Way and the Earned Income Tax Credit Alliance want you to know about a presentation at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, Memphis Branch on National EITC Awareness Day that will focus on using tax credits to increase the potential for a larger return.
