MEDIA ALERT: New United Way office will open in Hernando, MS this week

United Way will open a new office in DeSoto County, MS this week thanks to local DeSoto volunteers.

“United Way has been active in DeSoto County for several years, and thanks to the work of these local volunteers, we will have an additional office right in the heart of Hernando, Mississippi” said Bryce Haugsdahl, President of United Way of the Mid-South.

DeSoto County United Way volunteers, representatives from the DeSoto County Economic Development Council and United Way of the Mid-South staff will participate in a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, December 16th at 10:00 a.m. to formally open the office for United Way’s use. The office is located in at 316 West Commerce Street (on the North side of the Square), Hernando, MS. The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at the front of the building.
