This morning a team of Loaned Executive volunteers assembled to begin a week of education and training to learn more about helping the Mid-South through partnering with our local United Way.
United Way General Campaign Chairman Joe DiNicolantonio (Executive Vice President and West Tennessee Area President for Regions Bank) welcomed the Loaned Executive volunteers and thanked them for their willingness to serve the community in this important capacity. DiNicolantonio leads our region-wide effort to raise funds for the United Way network of care this year.
DiNicolantonio will host a graduation party for the team after they complete their training next week.
Loaned Executive trainees will hear from local nonprofit leaders, public speaking professionals, volunteers and United Way staff members about the challenges our community faces and the opportunities we share for impacting lives and making a difference in improving education, financial stability and health.
They will also learn about the importance of United Way fundraising drives at businesses and organizations across the Mid-South, and will play important roles in the United Way Employee Campaign Leaders Training sessions at The Peabody in downtown Memphis on Tuesday, August 27. The team will also serve as worksite coordinators and ambassadors for United Way Day of Caring on Friday, September 14.
Some members of the class will be assisting the Combined Federal Campaign for the region, working with Federal employees who contribute to worthy causes in our area.
We look forward to Loaned Executives also providing updates for the News Center in the months to come, and we’ll have more stories about their work throughout the year.
