Internal Revenue Service changes start date for processing returns: January 30

January 30Staff and volunteers working with the Earned Income Tax Credit Alliance are helping inform the community that yesterday, the Internal Revenue Service announced it will begin processing individual income tax returns for the 2013 filing season on Wednesday, January 30.

This is later than the earlier speculated date of January 22, due to changes following the passage of the American Taxpayer Relief Act on January 1. You can read the entire IRS explanation here.
