Health Priorities: Free app from Healthier Tennessee helps people create healthier lifestyles

United Way of the Mid-South is working in partnership with Healthier Tennessee (from the Governor’s Foundation for Health and Wellness) to address local priorities of healthy eating and active living. If more Mid-Southerners take the right steps to adapt healthier lifestyles, our region’s battle with unacceptably high obesity, heart disease, stroke and diabetes rates can be reversed.

Streaks for Small Starts app flyerHealthier Tennessee recently announced the creation of an app to help people take those difficult first steps for a healthier life. As a Healthier Tennessee partner, we want to give you a “sneak peek” of the new iPhone app for free.

The Streaks for Small Starts app is a great way to begin your path to healthier habits that can last a lifetime. Get started by downloading the app, scroll through all the Small Starts activities and choose the ones you want to take on to start your daily streak of success. You can download an Adobe Acrobat PDF flyer about the app here. Explore Streaks for Small Starts and let us and our partners at Healthier Tennessee know your thoughts.

(Our thanks to United Ways of Tennessee for information in this story!)
