United Way of the Mid-South in partnership with the Grant Professionals Association is sponsoring a “Nonprofit Grant Writing 101” workshop on Wednesday, Oct. 10th at the G.W. Henderson Sr. Recreation Center at 1165 Abbay Street, in Tunica, MS.
The workshop takes place from 9:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
Bob Arnold, Director of Grants and Research for Christian Brothers University, is leading the training. Arnold’s work at CBU includes soliciting foundation, corporate, and government support for scholarships as well as academic and capital projects. He manages the majority of the university’s grant applications from initial research through follow-up reports.
“Our goal is to help participants develop simple and practical ways of using what they have learned to solve specific problems and concerns they feel need addressing within their organizations,” he said.
The training helps nonprofit workers understand the grant writing process from start to finish. Attendees will gain a better understanding of grant writing requirements and be better prepared to research and write their own grants. The training is hands-on and focuses on practical applications.
To participate, please RSVP to Dee Fuller at 901.433.4326 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Seating is limited to 20 participants.
