Final days to file taxes, and two EITCA locations will stay open past the April 17 deadline (limited days only)

The Earned Income Tax Credit Alliance works to provide free tax preparation and filing so more eligible people in our area will claim the Earned Income Tax Credit.

The tax deadline is Tuesday, April 17th but two EITCA / VITA offices will be open past the deadline.

Volunteers will still be working at the Hickory Ridge Mall (April 18th only) and Southland Mall (April 18th, 19th and 20th).

Hickory Ridge Mall
6075 Winchester Ave.  (Southwest Entrance)
April 18th  10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Southland Mall
1300 Southland Mall
April 18th  and 19th,  4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
April 20th  2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

EITCA has been getting the word out about how to get free tax preparation help for low to moderate workers who make $50,000 or less for the 2011-12 tax season. Using a VITA site can save individuals and families from using predatory lender organizations which charge usurious interest rates for rapid anticipation loans.

If you qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit, be sure to use your W-2 to get your taxes prepared and electronically filed FOR FREE with these EITCA and VITA services. To learn more, call 2-1-1 or (901) 415-2790.
