United Way’s work with the Earned Income Tax Credit Alliance (EITCA) is providing notice that there are only a few days remaining for volunteers to help citizens file their taxes. The tax filing deadline for this year is April 17.
ETICA groups in three counties have provided details about the final days of assistance this year: Crittenden in Arkansas, Tipton in Tennessee and Tunica in Mississippi.
Crittenden, AR: Friday, April 13, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Delta Arts Center,1800 Missouri Street, in the Holiday Plaza Mall in West Memphis, AR.
Tipton, TN: Monday and Tuesday, April 16th and 17th, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Tipton County Public Library, 300 W. Church St. in Covington TN.
Tunica, MS: Friday and Saturday, April 13-14, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., R.C. Irwin Library, 1285 Kenny Hill Drive in Tunica, MS.
Volunteers can prepare and electronically file both Federal and State tax returns for low to moderate income people making less than $50,000 annually. Volunteers can also help filers determine if they are eligible for the Earned Income Tax Credit which can bring well-deserved earnings to lower income workers in all three counties.
