First Tennessee and FTN Financial, the two core business segments of First Horizon National Corporation, have wrapped up another tremendous fundraising campaign for United Way and our Mid-South community!
This year’s amazing outpouring of support has generated over $1.65 million to address the education, financial stability and health challenges of our region. Employees at First Tennessee and FTN Financial generously contributed over $1.1 million, paired with a philanthropic corporate matching gift of nearly $552,000.
First Tennessee and FTN Financial have many employees involved in the United Way fundraising campaign, as well as United Way’s work all year long. Charles Burkett, First Tennessee Bank President is a former United Way Board Chairman and former regional General Campaign Chairman. He still serves as an active volunteer on several UW board leadership committees. Jerome Luke, from First Horizon’s Credit Risk Management Group served as the United Way Campaign Chairman this year. Numerous First Tennessee/FTN Financial volunteers also serve on local United Way committees and groups that make decisions about fund allocations and participate in the highest levels of Mid-South philanthropy as members of the prestigious Tocqueville Society.
This year, First Tennessee/FTN Financial employees also served their co-workers and our regional fundraising drive on committees to ensure that meetings, communications and other needs were taken care of so everyone had an opportunity to learn how their support makes a difference for our community.
More information about the First Tennessee/FTN Financial campaign will be shared in a future edition of United Way FundsFlash later this winter.
United Way salutes all the employees of First Tennessee/FTN Horizon for yet another fantastic fundraising campaign!
