December 9th “Advanced Brown Bag Tutor Training” session focuses on improving student writing scores

Next Friday, December 9 the Advanced Tutor Training Brown Bag Lunch Series will feature guest speaker Fonda Booker, District Literacy Specialist for the Memphis City Schools Department of Curriculum and Instruction.

The session is entitled “Do the Write Thing: How to Improve Student Writing Scores” and is sponsored by Literacy Mid-South, Memphis City Schools, the Urban Youth Initiative and United Way of the Mid-South.

The session will be held at Memphis City Schools Teaching and Learning Academy’s multipurpose room from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. The Teaching and Learning Academy is located at 2485 Union Avenue in Memphis, TN.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own lunch, while a beverage and dessert will be provided. Lunch and networking will occur from 11:30 a.m. – 12:00 noon, with the presentation taking place from noon until 1:00 p.m.
