United Way General Campaign Chairman John Crowe will meet with hundreds of local volunteers during a campaign kickoff rally, which will be followed by the volunteers heading out to spend a day of work at local nonprofit organizations.
Well over 1,000 Day of Caring volunteers will work at 55 different nonprofit worksites, including the area’s first Project Homeless Connect event at the Mid-South Fairgrounds.
Volunteers will interact with nonprofit agency staff, agency clients (in some cases), United Way Day of Caring Ambassadors, and United Way staff.
Over the next several weeks we hope to share Day of Caring photos with you at the United Way News Center. If your Day of Caring workgroup takes photos and/or video tomorrow, please share the files with a United Way staff member and/or Loaned Executive.
