Crittenden, AR volunteers meet to discuss funding for local nonprofits

allocations volunteers

Allocations volunteers make the challenging decisions about where donated funds will be used to improve lives and impact communities.

Allocations teams across the Mid-South are meeting to make the challenging decisions about where United Way support can be used to impact lives and strengthen communities.

Our United Way Crittenden County, AR allocations committee is meeting to discuss the distribution of funds to partner agencies in Crittenden on May 12th and May 18th. Last year, the volunteers directed 67% to programs helping children and youth succeed, 24% to efforts strengthening families and neighborhoods, and 9% to work that improves health for adults and seniors.

The volunteers live in Crittenden, and the funds that are distributed were given to United Way by people who live in the county.

Cindy Greenwood

The group is led by Committee Chairwoman Cindy Greenwood (City of West Memphis). Also serving in this effort are committee members Anabeth Bartholomew (Mid-South Community College), Kim Jordan Fluker (Mid-South Community College), Michelle Galbreath (Payless Shoe Source), Mary Beth Luibel (Counseling Services of Eastern Arkansas), Dianna Nicks (CenterPoint Energy) and Parthasarathy Vasudevan, MD.
