United Way’s community-wide fundraising season officially begins with this Friday’s Day of Caring kickoff rally.
General Campaign Chairman Joe DiNicolantonio will share details about this year’s drive to support education, financial stability and health. He will also share some information from organizations that completed early United Way fundraising drives, putting our community in a better position to achieve a strong result this year.
The rally begins at 8:00 a.m. at Cummings Street Baptist Church, 8800 Winchester Road in Memphis, TN.
After the rally, nearly 1,000 pre-registered volunteers will go to nonprofit worksites and engage in helping people and neighborhoods across our Mid-South area.
We will have more information about Day of Caring later this week, including ways you can share your experience through the facebook and twitter social media platforms.
