City of Germantown employees UW drive $6K higher, surpasses $40,000

Organizations That CareCity of Germantown employees have been strong supporters of United Way for many years and their dedication to supporting our fundraising drive is once again evident with this year’s total of over $40,000!

“I am excited to have helped with the city’s United Way campaign this year, and I want to thank everyone who has donated in the past,” said Stacey Ewell, marketing communications manager, City of Germantown.

During the campaign drive, employees heard about the good works performed with their gifts. Representatives from United Way network agencies Boys & Girls Clubs, Le Bonheur Early Intervention & Development and Search Dogs South shared stories with the government workers.

Last year, City of Germantown raised $34,778. This year they raised $6,098 new dollars for a total of $40,876. Employees ended the campaign with a celebration featuring karaoke tunes and ice cream.

United Way thanks City of Germantown Mayor Sharon Goldsworthy for her long-time support of our work both as a contributor and as a volunteer, as well as all of the City of Germantown workers who displayed such wonderful generosity.
