Campaign report “scares” up big numbers for regional United Way fundraising drive

Late October’s campaign countdown meeting in the United Way office is always a treat, as many staff and volunteers show up dressed for the Halloween season. Yesterday’s meeting had a great assortment of costumes, with many people acting “in character” as they shared the latest regional fundraising results with General Campaign Chairman Bruce Hopkins from First Tennessee Bank.

The campaign is tracking well compared to last year’s effort, with over $10.1 million already raised for United Way’s work to improve local education, financial stability and health.

Here are some photos from yesterday’s meeting. We hope to add more photos to this story throughout the week so visit back later and join in the fun.

Updated Thursday, October 31: Here are some additional photos from yesterday and earlier this morning during our staff bake sale.
