The Shelby County Emergency Management Agency, in cooperation with Mid-South VOAD (Voluntary Organizations Active in Disasters) is calling for volunteers to help with two projects related to the recent storms, floods and disasters in our area.
Project One: Cleaning Bucket Distribution to Flood Victims
Location: First United Methodist Church, 204 N. Second Street
Volunteers are needed to help distribute cleaning buckets to flood victims beginning June 2nd and ending June 11th. Distribution will occur between the hours of 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 pm on weekdays and Sundays, and between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm on Saturdays. Individuals and organizations are asked to call 901.324.8799 for additional details in advance.
Project Two: Badge Processing
Location: Code Enforcement ID Center, 6465 Mullins Stations Road
Volunteers are needed to help in the badge processing tent. This is an ongoing volunteer project. Individuals and organizations are asked to call 901.324.8799 for additional details in advance.
