Bullying Prevention Awareness Month underway

Earlier this week the Department of Health and Human Services announced that October is Bullying Prevention Awareness Month in a statement on the department’s website.

An infographic available at the department’s webpage for printing presents statistics and studies that show children who are bullied or are involved in bullying are more likely to have lower academic achievement. Bullying can also lead to suicidal thoughts and/or attempts at suicide.

A Tumblr site shares posts, artwork and other information to bring awareness and spread information about the initiative, and encourage people to become active in the battle against bullying.
