Some of the world-famous Blue Angels aerobatic team landed in Memphis late last week to discuss work on the 2011 FedEx Air Show to help United Way of the Mid-South and some of our partner agencies improving the lives of children and youth in our community.

The Blue Angels’ mission is to enhance Navy and Marine Corps recruiting efforts and to represent the naval service to the United States, its elected leadership and foreign nations. The Blue Angels serve as positive role models and goodwill ambassadors for the U. S. Navy and Marine Corps. Their amazing aerobatic feats have thrilled audiences around the world.

The FedEx Air Show (scheduled for Summer, 2011) will benefit United Way of the Mid-South and some of our partner agencies: Memphis Oral School for the Deaf, Madonna Learning Center, and the Boy Scouts of America, Chickasaw Council.
