Be a Financial Stability champion: Volunteer training for our “Free Tax Prep” program is underway

United Way, the Earned Income Tax Credit Alliance (EITCA) and Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) are recruiting volunteers to help low income families and individuals file their taxes for FREE.

Our “Free Tax Prep” program enables people to avoid charges for tax preparation and better avoid groups that use predatory interest rates for fast refund anticipation loans. Becoming a EITCA and VITA volunteer is a great way to help people achieve greater tax refunds, which can lead to improved financial stability!

No previous tax knowledge or training is needed to be a volunteer, but it is important to attend training.

Training Schedule:

Saturdays, December 7, 14 and 21
