AutoZone reports it has already raised over $590,000 to improve our community through the United Way campaign!
AutoZone has a long history of strong support for United Way, and its employee giving and matching gifts program has continued the string of great fundraising drives again this year.
AutoZone employees (frequently called “AutoZoners”), joined by United Way staff members and Loaned Executives, launched the campaign with a spirited kickoff event at AutoZone’s corporate headquarters in downtown Memphis earlier this year. Throughout the fundraising drive, AutoZoners have increased their awareness of community needs through tours of several United Way nonprofit partner agency sites and meetings with speeches from UW network agency leaders.
AutoZone CFO Bill Giles, who also serves as a volunteer member of our local United Way Board of Directors, recognized AutoZoners and their charitable spirit throughout the year in his remarks to the employee team during AutoZone’s kickoff event.
