United Way of the Mid-South received a generous $7,500 check from American Snuff Company, LLC earlier this week to support our work to improve local education, financial stability and health.
Gene Crain, Senior Director of Manufacturing and Clayton Griffin, Senior Manager Workplace Practices with American Snuff Company came to United Way’s office to present the check to Bryce Haugsdahl, President of United Way.
“We’re interested in making charitable investments that can impact local important issues and make a positive difference in our community,” Crain explained.
American Snuff Company has a long history in Memphis. Since 1904 American Snuff Company has manufactured its products on Front Street in downtown Memphis. In January of 2012, American Snuff Company moved to their new facility in the Chickasaw Distribution Center, continuing their long standing history in the city.
United Way staff members Bob Mebane, Rosa Potts and Loaned Executive Annette Knox were also in attendance. United Way thanks American Snuff Company for its generous contribution.
