Advanced Tutor Training Mini-Conference will address cultural competency and managing challenging behavior, Sat., Nov. 5

Next week, an Advanced Tutor Training Mini-Conference will focus on two relevant topics that strengthen interaction between tutors and students: cultural competency and managing challenging behavior.

Literacy Mid-South, Memphis City Schools, United Way of the Mid-South and Urban Youth Initiative, Inc. are inviting tutors, program managers, and staff of after-school and summer programs to attend the mini-conference.

The mini-conference will feature Janice Crawford of New Leaders, New Schools and Dr. Melissa Hoffman from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.
