Fund Distribution

[ return to web version ] [ print ]

Each year, resources raised by United Way fundraising campaigns (which are not donor-designated) are used to improve education, financial stability and health through an allocations process led by specially-trained volunteers across the Mid-South.

These volunteers spend thousands of hours examining the needs of our community: reading funding requests, visiting agencies, reviewing  programs, examining agency finances and interviewing nonprofit volunteers and staff - all to ensure that your investment in United Way is used wisely and efficiently to create the most meaningful impact in people's lives.
