Volunteering

Serving as a United Way volunteer is one of the most worthwhile things a person can do for our community.

Without volunteers, United Way could not impact lives across the Mid-South and make a difference in so many people's lives. Many people choose to get personally involved and support United Way as a volunteer because they know it is an effective way to bring about positive changes in the Mid-South.

You can impact the Mid-South by serving as a United Way volunteer:

A dynamic organization like United Way of the Mid-South requires strong, experienced, proven leadership.
Local volunteers from area organizations dedicate a day of work to the nonprofit community on the Mid-South's largest single-day community service event.
Learn more about how your volunteer work in our Day of Caring event makes a difference for our community!
Each year, funds raised during the campaign which are not donor-designated are allocated through the efforts of specially trained volunteers throughout the Mid-South.
Each year, volunteers will help thousands of people with low incomes with their tax returns free of charge.
Organizations wanting to help United Way with the annual fundraising drive can provide a staff member to work alongside us or provide funding to underwrite a fundraising team member.
Help with your organization's fundraising campaign or start a new one.
