
United Way volunteers Ronna Martin, Marrion Lipsey and Brenda Spraggins enjoy an appreciation luancheon recognizing their efforts with United Way’s drive to improve the community.
United Way of the Mid-South’s Community Impact department saluted volunteers for their efforts in improving the Memphis and Mid-South community during a reception at Soul Café, on July 30, 2007.
The event helped recognize all the volunteers who have assisted in United Way community impact areas and programs in our region, including representatives from the following:
- Mid-South Coalition on HIV/AIDS
- Earned Income Tax Credit Alliance
- Together for Children
- Youth United Way Leadership Program
- Success By 6
- Allocations committees
- Avron B. Fogelman Venture Fund
- The Assisi Foundation / United Way Nonprofit Scholarship Program
Community Impact Chairwoman Martha Perrine-Beard spoke to the volunteers and encouraged them to continue the hands-on work, causing an impact within the community.
“It was an excellent opportunity to thank our volunteers who help create change throughout the community, and share the results of their collective volunteerism through United Way,” said Regina Walker, Senior Vice President for Community Initiatives.
