( September 11, 2003 ) - This year's Day of Caring kickoff saw a wonderful demonstration of support from FedEx Corporation, as United Way of the Mid-South's General Campaign Chairman, Mr. Ken May presented a giant check symbolizing FedEx's corporate gift of $1 million to United Way's fundraising effort. May is Vice President for U.S. Operations at FedEx Express.

( September 11, 2003 ) - United Way General Campaign Manager Mr. Ken May, Senior Vice President for U.S. Operations at FedEx Express, declared the beginning to this year’s campaign effort at Day of Caring’s kickoff event at the Mid-South Coliseum on September 11, 2003. His announcement of this year’s record-setting United Way fundraising goal of $23.5 million was greeted with enthusiasm.
